Mihret Eshetu is a visual artist from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She studied painting, sculpture, and graphic design at Teferi Mekonen Polytechnic College, where she specialized in graphics art. In 2024, she graduated with a diploma of Fine Arts with good performance.

 

Her artwork endeavors to delve into realism and symbolism concepts like existence, empathy, and enthusiasm. Mihret's approach to her craft is explorative, often experimenting with different media such as painting, sculpture, and most frequently, woodcut printing. Her artistic practice is characterized by continual learning and researching, as she constantly seeks out and investigates new methods to incorporate into her work.

 

 She has participated in exhibitions including the “Her story” 2026 The Space Ethiopia gallery, 2nd Brazil- Ethiopia Connection at the Brazilian Cultural Center in Addis Ababa (2025) and a group exhibition at Fendika Cultural Center (2025).

 

She is currently a resident artist at The Space Lab Artists Residency Program (2026) at The Space Ethiopia.
