Engdaget Legesse Amede is an Ethiopian-German artist based in Berlin. He graduated with honors in 1993 from the Alle School of Fine Arts & Design at Addis Ababa University, specializing in Mural Art. His early training in Addis Ababa laid the foundation for a practice that continues to bridge cultures, geographies, and artistic languages. Since 1997, Engdaget’s work has been widely exhibited across Europe, Africa, and the United States, including Germany, the Netherlands, France, Ethiopia, Kenya, Italy, England, and the USA. His artistic trajectory gained significant momentum through a DAAD scholarship between 2003 and 2004, a period that profoundly shaped both his creative approach and his personal life.
