Birhanu Manaye is a visual artist,(B. 1998) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His creative journey began during his adolescence, influenced heavily by his older brother who inspired him to draw. This early passion led him to the Abyssinia School of Art in 2015, where he studied painting and drawing, subsequently earning a certificate in the field. In 2018, He furthered his artistic education, enrolling in the Ale School of Fine Arts and Design (ASFAD). Here, he specialized in the Department of Printmaking, broadening his skills and knowledge base. His dedication and talent were recognized in 2022 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with the highest honors. Birhanu held his debut Solo exhibition at Galleria Tomoca in 2024 and actively participated in seventeen group exhibitions both within his homeland and abroad. Recently, in 2025 he held his second solo exhbition at The Space Ethiopia titled "Woven Memories".
